The Ultimate CS 1.6 Headshot Config

this is our official guide to tune your counter-strike configuration.
the following steps will dramaticly boost your gaming experience.

1) close cs and go to your steam folder located in your program files directory:
C:\Program Files\Steam\

2) locate the config.cfg in your cstrike directory and make a backup of it:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<Your Steam Username>\counter-strike\cstrike\

3) edit your config.cfg with the windows text editor and remove all lines
which don't start with the words "bind" or "unbindall" or "name" or "sensitivity"

4) go to the end of the file and add as a new line "exec shoot-em.rc" without quotes

5) download the attached shoot-em.rc into your cstrike directory

6) right click your config.cfg and set it write protected

in german:

1) zunächst cs beenden und im windows explorer den steam ordner aufrufen:
C:\Programme\Steam\

2) dort nach der datei config.cfg im cstrike_german ordner ausschau halten und eine kopie erstellen:
C:\Programme\Steam\steamapps\<Dein Steam Benutzername>\counter-strike\cstrike_german\

3) die datei config.cfg mit dem windows text editor öffnen und alle zeilen entfernen
die nicht mit folgenden wörtern beginnen: "bind" oder "unbindall" oder "name" oder "sensitivity"

4) am ende der datei noch folgende neue zeile ohne anführungszeichen einfügen: "exec shoot-em.rc"

5) als nächstes die angehängte datei shoot-em.rc im cstrike_german ordner abspeichern

6) abschließend einen rechtsklick auf die config.cfg machen und diese schreibgeschützt setzen

i would like to know what, exactley what im doing when i go thru those steps, and what will change in CS ?

what will it do to change my gaming expirence ?

you get a lower recoil, in most cases a lower ping,
more bullets reaches there target and you'll make more headshots.

it's really worth to try it and if you don't like it just switch
back to your backup config.

hi all one question here do we leave the

exec userconfig.cfg

in the rules or also remove them ?
